What is the difference between Jerky and Biltong?

Jerky is usually cooked at a higher temp for around 8 hours on a rack and made from either thin slices or minced meat.

Biltong is made from thick steaks which are naturally cured, spiced and air dried for around 4 days making it softer in texture.

Are your products Halal?

Our premises is fully halal certified meaning we produce Halal Biltong and Halal Biersticks.

(our Venison is not Halal due to the cost and difficulty in supply)

Do you use preservatives?

All our products are preservative free

Do your products contain allergens?

Our complete range is free from all common Allergens including;

  • Gluten Free 
  • Dairy Free
  • Soy Free
  • Nut Free

Is Biltong Healthy?

Biltong is;

  • Protein Packed
  • High in Vit B12 and other B vitamins and also rich in Zinc and Iron
  • Beef and Venison Biltong are a source of all 9 (essential) amino acids
  • Biltong is traditionally made using minimal sugar and is suitable for Keto diet

How do you eat Biltong

Biltong has many settings it can be;

  • Great in the outdoors from day trips to huge hikes.
  • Kids and adults lunch boxes to keep them fueled throughout the day.
  • Cheese platters, pizzas and the best part, general snacking.

The great thing about biltong is it doesn't need to be refrigerated and boasts an 18-month shelf life.

What's the sachet?

The sachet is for freshness and shelf life, absorbing left over oxygen after pre-purging. Not to be eaten.
